Ah Kakamega. I have such fond memories of my time there ā even if it was also the place where dug in at work to avoid what was happening at home. You know your relationship is in a bad place when you prefer dealing with racism allegations to dinner with your spouse. š
Yikes! I had so much anxiety about losing power and/or heat during those bitter cold temperatures. I would have been freaking out just like you did. Iām glad it all worked out, and that it offered an opportunity to reflect on and break old patterns. Another great story, as always!

Haha yes, he is! I figured that after three years, he deserved to get upgraded to a name.
